Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Lankford taught at a local elementary school and established her own Daisy Girl Scout troop. Her love for the sciences and desire to serve others led her to Morehouse School of Medicine, where she earned her medical doctorate in 2015 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. During residency, she received the Clerkship Award for Excellence in Teaching, Excellence in Compassionate Care, and Best Resident Research Award. She is also the co-creator of the annual Perseverance in Purpose Scholarship Award, which supports residents with the financial demands of post-graduate training.

Now calling Atlanta home for over 20 years, Dr. Lankford is a practicing OBGYN at Greater Atlanta Women's Healthcare, providing full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic services including preventative healthcare, cancer screening, contraception management, pregnancy and postpartum care, and minimally invasive surgical options. She is certified by the Society of Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and has been recognized on Atlanta Parent Magazine's "Mom Approved Doctors List" in 2022 and 2024, as well as the Morehouse School of Medicine "Blue List" in 2021.

Committed to holistic, high-value healthcare, Dr. Lankford has a special interest in preventative care for high-risk minority populations and works to improve maternal morbidity and mortality outcomes in Georgia through Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia. She remains an active member of Delta Sigma Theta, advocates for adolescent female wellness through community outreach, and mentors aspiring physicians through graduate programs and into medical school.

Her ultimate goal is to inspire her community and patients to reach their fullest potential and foster strong families with access to quality healthcare and education.
