What Size Tampon or Pad is Right For You?

By: The Honey Pot Company

Shoe size, breast size, height, all of these vary for each woman. The vagina size is no different, it varies for everyone. Its size and depth can change to accommodate different situations like a penis or tampon. According to the BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the average depth of the vagina is about 3.77 inches (9.6 cm), but vaginal depth and appearance can vary widely, with some measuring up to 7 inches (17.7 cm). You might be wondering, what size tampon should I use?

Vaginal size can help determine the best tampon and pad size/fit for menstruation as well. There are many different sizes of tampons and pads available. You should always use the smallest-size and absorbency tampon as possible for your flow. Remember, tampons shouldn’t be painful, and you shouldn’t experience any discomfort once it’s in. You should only have to change your tampon every 4-6 hours. If you find yourself changing it more frequently you should consider going up a size.

We offer a variety of different tampon sizes depending on your needs. Our regular tampons are perfect for light to mid-range flow days and are made with a comfortable BPA-free plastic applicator for comfortable and easy insertion. For heavier days, or for those with a heavier flow, we have our organic super tampons, and a mixed variety pack of both sizes for those in-between days.

Menstrual pads also come in a variety of sizes to accommodate different body shapes and flows. We have size options in our herbal menstrual pads ranging from everyday pantiliners to an overnight pad for the heaviest of flows so you can sleep in peace.

Just like vaginas, pads and tampons come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so it’s best to try different sizes depending on your individual flow at different points during your cycle and comfort level; this way you can determine what size tampon to use!
