A Note From Our Founder

By: The Honey Pot Company

Here at The Honeypot Company, we are a female founded and led company focused on women’s intimate health, but more than that, we believe in equal rights for all. With the recent abortion bans being passed in multiple US states, our founder Bea Feliu-Espada wanted to share her opinion on the issue of abortion laws.

“I’m all about a woman’s right to choose. The decision to have an abortion is not a political one - it's a medical decision that is between the mother, her partner (if she chooses to involve him) and her doctor.

I’m very upset and angered by the rash of states trying to make access to abortion harder for working class women. All women, regardless of socioeconomic status, should have access to safe abortions. Denying women access to abortion won't stop abortion from happening - it will just make it harder for lower income women to access safe abortions. Middle- and upper-class women will be able to go to another state and get an abortion,” says Bea.

As an Atlanta-based women's health company, these bans hit especially close to home for us (The state of Georgia was one of the first to pass the restrictive abortion ban law). However, if it can happen here, it can happen anywhere. It’s more important now than ever that we all use our voice to stand up and fight for what we believe in, including women's reproductive rights. The Honeypot is committed to being a leader in women’s health and supporting each woman’s right to make decisions on their body.
